Nella seconda parte, i cronoastronauti e gli scienziati della nave 22 decidono di cambiare le sorti di Tinno, un pianeta del sistema Alfa Centauri, evitandovi la guerra che l’aveva reso arido e vi aveva annientato i suoi abitanti e tutta la vita non subacquea.
